Aurora
Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. She is professionally known as Aurora and occasionally stylized using lowercase letters, such as AURORA. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released by the record label Decca Records in May 2015 and received a lot of praise from music bloggers and the media. The singer has released a number of high-profile songs as covers, like Half the World Away (by Oasis), from the group Oasis) to accompany John Lewis' Christmas advert and Nature Boy (by Nat King Cole) that are widely loved. Katy Perry shared a tweet where Perry made a splash with her track Runaway. Make it a special day for her. Aurora Aksnes' earliest musical memories involve finding a piano hidden in her attic and being captivated by the sound it made. Parents May-Britt along with Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but as a way to develop. The Aksnes family advised her to compose. Her inspirations include famous writers Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan, as well as her affinity with Bjork's style. She decided to start performing her songs publicly when her mother suggested that they can help other people, not be famous with her music, but rather to help the people around them understand the importance of their work and how they impact the world. Piano was her first instrument at the age of six. She began writing music when she turned nine. It was unknown by her family until she reached the age of fourteen. Aurora was not a dream of her childhood. The singer says that she simply likes to compose songs. Music to her is the most effective method to experience anything.
