Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist, and competes in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder and UFC friend of hers is her younger sister. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as an Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner by unanimous decision. Antonina then won a Silver Medal in 2007 and a Bronze Medal in 2008 and a Gold Medal in 2011 and the IFMA Amateure Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia launched her professional career back in 2003. She has taken home numerous championships, including the World WKC K-1 Light Welterweight Championships Lion Fight Lightweight Championships, as well as the WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina has fought her last time against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won unanimously. Antonina Shychenko's pro MMA debut came in 2002, at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan in which she fought Anara Bayanova. She was victorious with a TKO at the end of round 2. She then won her 2 subsequent fights, both at WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko stopped her involvement in MMA to focus on boxing. She returned to fight Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by a unanimous vote. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in the year 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko knocked out Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina defeated Nievera by her impressive striking ability during the clinch final round with knees placed on her body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina received a UFC deal. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious by unanimous decision, but she lost her next fight against Roxanne Modafferi in a split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the defeat and beat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the fight of the night bonus in the fight. Shevchenko has a record of 1-2 during her subsequent three matches which included a win over Ariane Lipski while being defeated by Katlyn Clarkagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
